We’ve been returning since 2015, drawn by the quiet, the nearby woods, and how easily we can get to hiking trails. The large apartment we stay in matches its description and works well. The landlady is attentive, courteous, and ready to help, and we’d be glad to come back. I rated it four stars because I’m uneasy with giving any place a blanket five-star rating.

The price was fair, and I’d recommend it. The apartment was great, with a kitchen and a bathroom of its own.

The Wi-Fi is listed as included, but the coverage is poor and the connection drops. I still can’t understand the three-star rating or how they justify such a high price. I wouldn’t send even my worst enemy to this dump. There was no shower towel or even a bar of soap. The kitchen tools, including the slotted spoon, were badly worn, though replacing them would cost under €5. The cutlery was old and mismatched, and the glasses, cups, and plates had food scraps on them. The pots were black on the outside. There was a strong diesel smell, like being at a gas station. The place isn’t in a tourist area, and from the outside it looks like a shack surrounded by things that suggest hoarding. Privacy was poor too. People could reach my area by a spiral staircase, and the glass door meant they could see in if I was naked or in my underwear. The service was appalling, with no decent billing system. At €20 per person per day, the price felt outrageous. It didn’t meet even basic service standards, and customer service was nonexistent. The worst part was my departure. I was expected to leave at 10:00 AM, but I had told him I’d be leaving after work. He stayed until 4:00 PM, then, because I was 15 minutes late, took all my belongings and put them outside. He demanded €35 to remove my things and clean. He seemed to think the €300 he charged me for two weeks wasn’t enough, and kept one of my belongings until I paid the €35 for the supposed cleaning. In any hotel, I’d expect cleaning to be part of the service. Those were the worst two weeks of my life paying for accommodation. I hope it gets inspected one day and is properly certified with a one-star rating, since the other two stars are clearly missing.

A lovely, comfortable holiday apartment, whether you come on your own or with the whole family. Everyone can have a good time here. It’s always spotless and impeccably maintained 👍 Katreinitsch-Bertram
