Refugium am Wasserturm

I was surprised by how lovely these apartments are. The place was clean and neat, with everything needed for an apartment stay, and I thought the price for two people was very affordable. It was a lovely stay, and I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area. Thank you!

A really nice spot for a longer stay.

I travel often for work and usually spend four nights at a time in one place. I've rarely felt as comfortable in a hotel or apartment as I did at the "REFUGIUM AM WASSERTURM" in Emsdetten. I'm a multilingual art connoisseur who notices details, so I could easily write five pages about the fabulous touches here, but I'll keep it short. Everything was absolutely clean, from the entrance and stairwell to the snack machine, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and the living and sleeping areas. The large rooms are inviting, functional, and beautiful, thanks to the interior designer. There are artistic touches too, from Brutalism on the ceiling to colorful individual oil and acrylic paintings in the hallways and guest rooms. I slept peacefully, without street or party noise. The owner is often there and always reachable by phone, and the automated check-in systems are easy to use. There's plenty of parking, even for large vehicles, and a wonderful bakery next door with lots of sweet and savory choices. I could honestly move in year-round. Ten out of ten possible plus points. The apartment's thoughtful design, high ceilings, and natural light made a great impression, and it was beautifully and modernly furnished. We were especially pleased by how exceptionally clean it was, the big bathroom with underfloor heating, and the comfy sofas for relaxing. We stayed three days at the Refugium am Wasserturm in Emsdetten and felt welcome and at ease from the moment we arrived. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. A particularly nice touch was finding coffee already in the coffee machine, so we could have a fresh cup on our first morning without needing to shop first. The hallway vending machine has snacks and toiletries available around the clock, which is a clever idea. We were absolutely delighted and pleasantly surprised. The place exceeded our expectations, and we'd happily recommend this retreat. Thanks for a wonderful time. We'd love to return!
