Haus am Kaltenbach

Even with the weather being less than ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Haus am Kaltenbach. The beautiful surroundings and lovely excursions made the trip, and the restaurant is well worth recommending too. Our hosts were so kind, friendly, and accommodating. Many thanks again to the lovely Haag family. We hope to see you again. Autumn 2019.

Mrs. Haag made us feel like guests, not just customers. Hospitality clearly comes first for her, and meeting her was the best part of our stay. We had a wonderful few days at Haus am Kaltenbach. The location is stunning, with the river and forest in view from our large, comfortable room and terrace. Hiking trails start right outside, so you can head out for a walk as soon as you step outside. The hallway had dishes, cutlery, and a refrigerator, which we were glad to have. Breakfast was great, with fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt, cheese, and bread. If we wanted anything else or had a request, we only needed to ask. We’d love to return soon.

We had the large apartment, and it was just right. It was super clean and had everything we needed, including full bathrooms, a good shower, comfortable mattresses, and a lovely big balcony for afternoon sun. The reception was very friendly. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was fantastic, with both sweet and savory choices, and they even took care of our special requests, including a little birthday gift for my husband at no extra cost. We spent four wonderful nights at Haus am Kaltenbach with our baby and dog, which was no problem at all. Our room was very spacious and opened straight onto a terrace with a table and chairs. Simply perfect, two thumbs up!
