The standout here was the home cooking and baking. Their pies and tarts were outstanding, and the couple running the café were caring, open, and genuinely hospitable. We were three hikers on the Nibelungen-Steig and stayed one night, with afternoon tea and coffee, dinner, and breakfast. They moved to the region six years ago. The café is up on a plateau with beautiful natural views, and you may spot deer around dusk. Our simple, clean rooms had balconies overlooking meadows. We had a wonderful time and no complaints. See you next time!

We didn't stay overnight, but this was a lovely stop for hikers. The service was really friendly, and the coffee and cake were delicious. We felt very comfortable there!

The cake was okay, but the iced coffee was tiny and cost €7.50, which we thought was far too much for that size. We stopped in for coffee and cake, and the old-fashioned decor didn't win us over either. The garden was just a lawn with a few tables and chairs. I wouldn't say you need to go.

A charming café with an old-fashioned feel. The place is very well kept, the cakes are delicious, and the staff are lovely. A great spot to stop for a bit while hiking.

The food was the highlight, absolutely delicious. We tried Odenwald hand cheese and two kinds of schnitzel, and the fries were seasoned just right. The team was lovely with our dogs, bringing them water and treats. The decor is a little dated but feels authentic 😊. It looks like it would be a great beer garden in summer, and we'd happily come back.
