Waldgasthaus & Pension Teichhaus

We were looking for exactly this kind of place. It’s a lovely guesthouse for groups, with a warm, friendly welcome. When you come as a large group, you get the whole house to yourselves and can use the kitchen too. Simply fantastic.

The night was so quiet that we could hear the Mulde River in the distance. Our room was warm and practical, and the owners welcomed us into a beautifully decorated guest room, glowing with candles and lights and warmed by a tiled stove. We'd just been to the Seiffen Christmas market and stayed here for the night. The menu offered two very tasty dishes, with a dry red house wine. It was all so pleasant and easygoing, and we spent a few hours in good company. After a good breakfast, we said goodbye. We'd love to return.

Our group of 20 stayed in the group house and had a great time. The owner was friendly, and we could have lively parties at night. By day, there's a lovely garden for games, or you can head out hiking in the woods. The rooms are quiet and nice, and work well for families too. Highly recommend it.

The fresh, delicious food and friendly service at Teichhaus show how much care the owners put into the place. It's warmly decorated, too. We loved the setting for exploring the Ore Mountains and unwinding, with Dresden and Prague also handy for a visit. #AgainAndAgain#
