Hotel Kögel

The rooms were good, the bathroom was lovely, and parking was good. The welcome was very friendly and the atmosphere had a good feel. The bed wasn't perfectly clean, though, and breakfast felt basic and old-fashioned, even if there was a good cheese selection. One thing I'd change is the glass bathroom door. Nobody wants to see the toilet in the mirror from bed! 😂

The owners run the hotel and were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They answered my questions well and offered useful tips. The rooms are modern, clean, and inviting, and the value for money is very good. The hotel sits right on the town's main street, so traffic was heavy in the morning and evening while I was there. We often had to wait three to five minutes to get out of the parking lot. I'd happily stay again and recommend it.

Dinner was the standout, especially the Käsespätzle, which are a must for anyone who likes Swabian food. The meal exceeded all our expectations. We had a wonderful two days and would return in a heartbeat. Our garden-facing room, with a view of the castle, was completely quiet, so we left the windows open all night. The owners were very friendly and looked after everything we needed. And it was a relief to stay somewhere where the shower didn't take minutes to adjust.

The rooms were just as modern and stylish as the photos suggested, and the owners were genuinely lovely and friendly, without any forced fuss. From outside, the place looked a little underwhelming, though the entrance was much nicer. Dinner was good and fairly priced. I hadn't expected breakfast to be so good: there was everything I could want, including fresh scrambled eggs, salmon, muesli, nuts, and more. A good stay for the price, and I'd gladly come back.
