The views across the river to the vineyards and rocky mountainside are amazing. We drove over the river and up into the hills for some breathtaking scenery, and it's a great area for walking or cycling. There are plenty of parking spaces, and wine lovers will find a lot to enjoy. You can apparently do a tasting, and bottles from their own vineyards are sold at very reasonable prices. The stay cost 72 € and included a fresh, delicious continental breakfast. We booked directly after something went wrong trying to reserve through hotel.com. We weren't sure what to expect, but ended up loving the place. The hostess and her young son were really nice and friendly. It's a real family business, and considering the day job, guesthouse, vineyards, and Winehouse, this family works incredibly hard. We stayed in room 3 on the third floor, which was difficult with my mobility problems and luggage. The room itself was large, with a big bathroom and a good shower. Its sloping ceiling meant my wife bumped her head a few times, so we swapped sides, and even then you have to be careful. The bed wasn't too hard for me, and the pillow was too small, though my wife liked it a lot. Room 1 and an apartment are on the second floor, so you only have to climb one flight of stairs. Highly recommended, and worth every point.

The hosts had plenty of hiking suggestions, with useful brochures ready to pick up. You can also take a bottle of wine from the winery fridge, but if you want to buy extras, remember to write them on your list. Trust is clearly central here, and it's lovely to see that kind of arrangement. The Kaufmann family's guesthouse was a very comfortable place to stay. Our dates were a little off-season, so the senior owners welcomed us and showed us around. The winery is close by, and during our stay they explained what the different rooms were for and shared interesting details about making wine. With the Moselle and the vineyards across the river in view, the subject comes up naturally. Breakfast in the breakfast room was delicious. There was also a small guest kitchen where we could make coffee, plus free Wi-Fi. We've added the guesthouse to our plans for future trips and are happy to recommend it.

Bring your bikes if you can, the region is beautiful. The owners are incredibly friendly and do their best to make your stay a good one. My German isn't very good, but the lady speaks excellent English. The rooms are older, though very clean and well cared for, and the place feels cozy. There's a warm, strong shower with a view of the vineyards. The TV is small and has German channels, but that's not why you'd come here. You can buy the owners' own wine from the cooler in the shared area, and the prices are very reasonable. It's a little too easy to drink 😅. We also got a cellar tour and an explanation of how the wine is made. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and more than enough. Dinner isn't served here, but there are lots of little restaurants nearby within walking or cycling distance.

The house has several guest rooms and a holiday apartment, and there's a lot of stair climbing to reach rooms on the second or third floor. The breakfast room is on the second floor too. You can arrange an on-site wine tasting, which we found really interesting. We learned a lot about viticulture, its history, and vineyard work, and really enjoyed the wine. Breakfast was okay and the prices were reasonable.

The rooms were clean and breakfast was delicious. We loved having wine on the terrace in the evening, and the accommodation is right along the Moselle Cycle Path. A big thank you to the Kaufmann-Schneider family for being such fantastic hosts.
