The room was clean, with towels and soap provided, and the heating worked. There’s paid parking in the courtyard, though you can also park for free on the street. For the price, the new building was acceptable, but we would have chosen the main building if we’d known. The website shows that building, while our room was in a separate newer one, set up more like accommodation for young people or workers, with features such as a urinal and a separate toilet. The bedding looked old and dirty, and there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom around the shower. I’d suggest replacing the sheets and looking into that smell.

The old building is attractive, and the hotel itself has something interesting about it. Sadly, the owner was rude and arrogant, with no sense of service. Any comment about the room, breakfast, or even how we needed the invoice led to a harsh verbal attack. The supposed hospitality was a complete failure, which is a real shame.

We booked through booking on the morning of 16.08 and called the number in the confirmation. The woman told us how to find the key, but seemed surprised by the reservation and only guessed that her colleague had left it in the letter box. When we got there, it was missing. Other guests we met had the same story. We called again, but no one answered and the phone had been switched off. We had to find another hotel late that evening. The stay had already been paid for, and we received no refund.

A peaceful place to unwind, where people treat you with respect and understanding. The welcome was warm and cheerful, and the rooms were very clean.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The host was nice too. I just wish there had been an electric kettle in the room.
