Villa Am Park

Really great.

We’d gladly return to the villa. It’s in great condition, with large, modern rooms that are thoughtfully furnished, some with antique pieces. The hosts are friendly and attentive, and the extensive breakfast is beautifully laid out, with different rolls, plenty of cheese and cold cuts, jams, and prepared yogurt that was very delicious. The villa sits quietly on a low traffic one-way street in a residential neighborhood of villas. Cathedral Square is a ten-minute walk away. For evening entertainment, we recommend a visit to the cabaret Die Arche.

The breakfast was varied and well balanced, with a good selection for everyone. Villa am Park is a charming hotel in a beautifully renovated old villa, and it’s very centrally located for exploring Erfurt. Ms. Hockmann deserves a special mention for being such a friendly hostess, attentive to her guests and making the atmosphere feel personal and welcoming.

The owner of our original accommodation had made a mistake and given our room away, leaving us without anywhere to stay that weekend in Erfurt. Every hotel was full because Sido and Cluseo had concerts that weekend. Luckily, my family was staying at the Villa am Park, so I called and explained what had happened. The lady immediately did everything she could to find us space there, sharing rooms with my family. That was fantastic service on top of first-class rooms, accommodation, location, and food. Highly recommended!
