Erkheimer Landhaus

The dinner was the standout for us, really tasty and high quality, with a comfortable price. This is a friendly, small family-run hotel about 5 minutes from the highway. The room was very clean, the bed was okay, and it had what we needed, including towels and a hair dryer. There’s a sauna too. The owner was very friendly, and we’ll definitely come back to eat at the restaurant.

We stopped here while driving from Barcelona to Vienna with a trailer carrying a motorbike, and parking safely was what we needed. We parked right outside and had no security issues. It was easy to find, about 5 minutes from the main highway. The owner was up late hosting a dinner party and welcomed us even though they’d normally have been closed. Our room was large, airy, and clean, with comfortable linen and towels. The shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was great, with cereals, bread, and jams at the buffet, plus a cooked breakfast we ordered. The people were pleasant and friendly. Highly recommended. They have a second location too, which I’ll try next time.

We only stayed one night, and the service was good at this small family-run place. They serve a limited but nice range of home-cooked food. There’s a sauna as well, though we didn’t use it. We liked our stay a lot.

You’ll want the breakfast, it’s great. It’s included when you book directly with them, so that’s a good tip. Great place, highly recommended.
