At 100 euros, this felt completely overpriced for a “workers dorm room.” The advertised facilities weren’t available: the pool and sauna were closed because, they said, “it’s too expensive.” The room was small, with no USB outlets, just one too-thin duvet and no extra blanket or pillows. The TV had German channels only, with no international ones. The location wasn’t good either, with no bars or useful shops an easy walk away. I didn’t see any other facilities nearby, such as a swimming pool or recreation centre.

A peaceful, pleasant restaurant right by the canal. It’s not too far from Berlin and seems to be a popular holiday spot for Germans.

The surrounding area is beautiful and great for enjoying the outdoors, and the lakes have some lovely boat trips. I’ve been staying here for the last three years and will keep coming back every year. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. Breakfast is very good too, with a wide selection of meats and cheeses, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, rolls, jam, and cheese.

Breakfast was good at this excellent hotel. Dinner, though, felt a bit too prefabricated.

We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed it. The food was tasty, the portions were big, and it’s a very nice place.
