First Apart

Closer to the training center than East apart, and better than Med Apart or Historic Apart.

The location is very good, and the room had useful equipment, a kitchen, a washing machine, and covered parking. But the mattress didn’t work for me. I prefer a thicker one, like at the EAST appart, which was more comfortable. The room also gets very warm in summer, and there’s no air conditioning. The little fan didn’t help. If your room faces the parking lot, people smoke on the ground floor terraces, and cigarette smoke comes straight into the rooms above.

The apartment was very clean, in a good location, and just as described. The only snag for us was that the bedroom has no door, so we had to be very quiet in the kitchen while our baby slept. That was specific to our situation. book-it were great to deal with: they responded quickly even before we booked and accommodated our request for a quiet apartment and newborn items, including a bed and seat. On our second visit, they arranged the same room we’d had the first time. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re in Erlangen.

The apartments are good and have enough amenities for a short stay. Aldi and Kaufland are close, as is the Siemens Healthineers training center. Cooling could be better in summer.
