Mercure Hotel Frankfurt Eschborn Ost

I was upgraded to a privilege room and checked in early during my stay at Mercure Hotel Frankfurt Eschborn Ost from 11-15 November 2025. It’s a clean, comfortable choice for a business trip. For a longer stay, they may be able to extend checkout if a room is available, but it isn’t complimentary and could cost extra. A wonderful place to stay overall.

The hotel is generally clean, well maintained, and good for the usual affordable nightly rate. Prices can climb quite a bit when there are conferences. Breakfast is acceptable, though nothing special, and I’d like to see more gluten-free and dairy-free choices.

There was no coffee or tea machine in the room, although the room description said there would be one. For a four-star hotel, that was well below what I expected.

The pool was freezing and dirty, so I doubt we could have used it even if the weather had been nicer. The picnic table they offer as an alternative was covered in bird poop and was nasty. There was paint peeling off the walls and vape machines around, too. The place was way overpriced, and I’m sad we spent so much on it. My mom flew all this way and ended up stuck in a nasty hotel. She came across the world to visit us for a week, and the hotel made the trip less enjoyable. The shower was broken, the curtain was torn, and the carpet was dirty. We ate at the hotel restaurant several times, but one evening we wanted to have our own snack at a table by the pool. There are more than ten tables outside and just one other person was there. Restaurant staff said we couldn’t sit there because the tables were for customers, and told us to go back to our rooms if we wanted to eat our snack. That was our one nice-weather evening, sent back indoors. I’d understand the rule if the restaurant were busy and needed the tables, but it was nearly empty, so I don’t see why we couldn’t sit there.
