We’d stay here again. The house was clean, well equipped, and communication with the landlord was friendly. The garden has a little playground right beside it, and the place is well located: 10-15 minutes to the beach and a 5-10 minute walk to Nordseetherme. There’s a garage, though my Passat didn’t fit, plus a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. We saved €19 per person by skipping the bed linen and towel service. Inside, noise was a problem for me: the beds and stairs creak, and the heating pipes rustle, which affected my sleep. That’s just my personal experience. I also found the hot and cold shower controls tricky to adjust, and the dining area felt too small.

The landlord was always friendly and easy to reach when we had questions. We spent two weeks at the Leuchtturm holiday home in Bensersiel and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. It was spotless when we arrived and had all the holiday essentials, including safety gates, a beach wagon, and high chairs. The garage attached to the house was handy for storing smaller things and our roof box. There’s a small playground right next door, which our children used regularly and we could easily see from the garden. With a wagon and two small children, the beach took about 10 minutes to reach on foot, which was no trouble. There’s a large playground, an indoor play area, and a water playground at the beach, especially for children. Bensersiel also offers different excursions. We went to Langeoog twice.

We stayed in 2018 with 4 adults and 2 children. The house had what we needed and a lovely big garden. The only slight drawback was that the dining nook was too small.
