Hotel Rutherbach

The room was tidy, clean, and comfortable, with a good bed and a large walk-in shower. The landlord gave exceptional help getting me checked in very late after my flight was delayed. Great!

The breakfast was very nice, with a range of continental choices and a cute little sweet at every place setting. For our one-night stay, the beds were comfortable. Our family of three had plenty of room and enough bedding, though the bathroom was narrow and shaped like a hallway. It worked fine for us. There was a combined shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottle, but separate products would have been a nice improvement. The hallway up to the room felt welcoming and was nicely decorated. Service was lovely, and check-in was even better than the good email exchange beforehand. We'd definitely recommend this hotel for a stay around Kettwig or Werden in Essen.

I had already booked a room but ended up cancelling the trip for other reasons, so I didn't actually stay at the hotel. I'm reviewing the booking service: after a few emails, the staff were very helpful and cancelled my stay without charging me. I'd recommend them.

The price was very good, and breakfast was lovely. The rooms are spacious, there's plenty of parking, and there's a lovely restaurant next door. We had an excellent stay.
