The hotel was nice, but for what it costs, the service should be better. Breakfast was okay, though the selection could improve. It was already busy early, and just an hour after breakfast started, there wasn't much food left. The staff could be friendlier too. We had an early flight and asked for a lunch box. They said 5:30 a.m. was too early for breakfast and that we could at least have coffee. But when we asked for coffee that morning, they said they couldn't serve it then either.

The breakfast I paid for wasn't worth the money. I arrived around 9, the bar was nearly empty, dirty plates were left on lots of tables, and the coffee didn't taste good. I accidentally booked the same room three times because of a problem with the booking app. I asked to cancel the two extra bookings. The hotel called canceling one room a goodwill gesture, and they weren't honest with me about how they were handling things with the Booking manager. Instead of doing what seemed right, they offered free breakfast. It costs €15, while the room was about €80.

The room was decent and comfortable enough, and being near the city was handy. Reception staff were super friendly. Cleanliness was another story, though. They seemed to spend no more than two minutes cleaning each day, mostly just putting out fresh towels. The floors hadn't been mopped in a while, and I had to remind staff to change the sheets. The hair dryer didn't work either.

My company booked the hotel for me, and I was pretty happy with it. The staff were friendly and easy to reach, and breakfast was great. Getting around was convenient whether you use public transport or drive. Hauptbahnhof is about a 15-minute walk away, and there are lots of free parking spots on the street. I'd definitely recommend it!

We stayed during the euros, so the price was high, and I expected more for what we paid. Early check-in costs €30 even if the room is already clean and ready, which seems like a ridiculous fee to me. The hotel is in a good spot near Essen Hbf, and the room was really nice. Staff were friendly, but the shower had cold water and hardly any pressure, and the outlet beside the bed didn't work.
