Radisson Blu Hotel, Karlsruhe

It's a good stop if you're driving through or visiting for business, though there's not much nearby. The hotel itself is nice and doesn't seem very old, with a small gym and sauna, and breakfast was good. The male receptionist was helpful and pleasant. Sadly, the two women weren't as nice, and one was a bit rude and unhelpful.

After our long drive back from Italy, my family and I found the calm, relaxing atmosphere we needed. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well cared for. We also ate dinner in the hotel bistro, where Iaroslav was especially attentive and kind. He was friendly, noticed the details, and seemed to do his work with real passion and professionalism. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable stay and quality service, and would happily return.

Most of the stay was quite nice, but being charged 17€ for one night in the hotel's parking lot was an unpleasant surprise. I think providing parking for guests should be the hotel's responsibility, and the extra charge felt rather audacious. There was only a small sign explaining the fee, easy to miss at night when I arrived. Maybe the hotel should reconsider whether this is a good way to welcome guests.

The hotel has gone seriously downhill, and I won't return. Breakfast is the same year after year, boring, outdated, and uninspired. The professional staff seem to have been replaced by a slow, untrained, inefficient team, and service falls far below Radisson standards. Andreas at the front desk is a major problem: unpleasant, arrogant, unfriendly, and visibly moody, making guests feel unwelcome from the first interaction. Fire him! This place no longer deserves the Radisson Blu name. Cashless payments everywhere are unacceptable. Guests shouldn't be forced to pay by card, and this policy shows no respect for customer choice. Is this the Agenda 2030 you guys are pushing? Change it immediately!!!
