Hotel & Landgasthaus Pfeifertal

This family-run restaurant has become one of my favorites after living in Germany on and off for years. They work hard to serve authentic German food in a traditional German Gaästhaus atmosphere, and everything is absolutely delicious. It’s my go-to for a night out or a special occasion. Highly recommend.

We only came for a meal and didn’t stay at the hotel. The food was delicious, and everyone on staff was really friendly. It’s a beautiful restaurant with seats both indoors and outside. I only took pictures of our food, not the restaurant itself!

I’ve brought out-of-town guests here, and it’s a place I’d recommend to anyone. The menu has traditional German food alongside Pfälz specialties, including saumagen, blutwurst, and tafelspitz. I loved the Holzfäller pork steak, it was tender and juicy. The room feels modern but still comfortable, and the service has always been good. English menus are available too. Prices seem fair for the quality, with dishes from 8-20 euro, including the Argentinean beef steak at 20.

The waitress was friendly and great with wine recommendations, even with our large group. I’d call ahead for reservations. I started with Lauwarmer Kartoffelsalat, then had the Mühlenpfanne "Schweinekamm". I enjoyed it all and will definitely return to try more, especially since several other dishes looked good and they have a few vegetarian options. It’s a local favorite, and Little Sebastian’s cousin might show up in the field next door.
