The themed rooms make this a pretty distinctive hotel, and there’s a good breakfast buffet along with a relaxed bar area. The staff were great, kind, and helpful. The main problem was the lack of air conditioning. Our room had fans instead, and they were so loud I couldn’t sleep. Since it was hot outside, we couldn’t get proper fresh air either.

The building may not be new, but the extravagant, unusual interior gives Design Hotel Euskirchen plenty of personality. Each room feels different, with quirky decor and thoughtful little details. The staff were friendly and ready to help, always smiling, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. They’ll prepare eggs fresh if you ask. It’s also conveniently located for the highways to Cologne and Bonn, and the secure parking is a bonus. A great choice if you want somewhere with character instead of the standard chain hotel feel.

We had a splendid two-day stay at Design hotel and would happily visit again. The room was clean and tidy, though the pillows were very soft. When we asked, the staff were more than happy to bring firmer ones. Breakfast was amazing, with a lovely atmosphere and lots of food options. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. We highly recommend it.

The warm, personal service was extraordinary, and breakfast was both beautiful and delicious. It’s a unique, peculiar hotel that’s worth a visit. I’m not keen on the glass restroom doors, though. A regular opaque door would work better.

We’ve stayed here twice to enjoy the sauna in Euskirchen, and would stay again next time. The location works well for visiting the village and going to the sauna. The rooms are comfortable and very spacious, the decor is interesting, and the staff are kind and friendly. Breakfast is good, with lots of choices.
