Ferienpark Extertal

We didn’t feel especially welcome, despite being considerate dog owners and drivers. The morning after we arrived, I was walking both dogs on leash by my side. They’d already done their business in the woods, and I still had the poop bags in hand, when an older couple told me to walk them along the edge of the woods instead of their property line. They didn’t even say good morning. Parking was another problem. We had two cars, but each house has just one designated space and there was no information about where to leave the second. Someone directed us to a restaurant farther away, but it was closed and its spaces were chained off. All the parking spots seemed privately owned. After driving around and thinking it over, we found an unsigned space on a side street with 3-4 other free spaces beside it. We parked there, only to find a “badly parked” sign on the car the next morning, despite all the empty spaces nearby. It felt like parking was strictly controlled, regardless of whether someone was being considerate, using common sense, or just needed somewhere late at night.
