Niemeyer's Romantik Posthotel

Breakfast is the part of Niemeyers that really stuck with us: fresh bread, cheese, charcuterie, eggs, and proper coffee, all put together with care. Dinner was just as good, with skilled cooking and service that paid attention without hovering. We felt properly restored by the end of it. We arrived on motorcycles, dusty and smelling of fuel and rain, and were met with a smile and a key. There’s secure parking out back and street parking out front, and the whole place feels calm. The rooms were spotless, practical, and peaceful, exactly what we wanted after a long day riding. Niemeyers sits quietly on a village street. It’s precise and tidy, with a sense of order that felt unmistakably German. If you’re passing through this part of Germany by car, bike, or chance, it makes a memorable stop. It may not be the sort of place you post about, but it’s better than that.

The Niemeyers always make us feel welcome, and the service is impeccable. We had an amazing meal in a beautiful setting and a fantastic time. They never fail to exceed expectations 🤩

The fixtures and fittings are good quality, but the hotel feels dated. Most of the menu was cold food, and it seemed like it may have been prepared well ahead of time. It’s expensive for what you get. I’d try somewhere else.

The welcome completed the fairytale feel, with hospitality that made us feel at home. The setting was beautiful, and the mix of modern touches and provincial charm worked perfectly. We hadn’t expected such a delightful experience.
