The restaurant and hotel were both great. Our room was spacious, clean, and well equipped, and the fresh breakfast was really tasty. The service was super friendly, and we had a lovely stay. We’d definitely come back.

We got there at 7:00, while the restaurant was still open until 9:00, and saw three empty tables. The man brought us a menu, but when we asked for a table, he said none were available and that we couldn’t wait for one to open up. We assumed he didn’t like that we were foreign and spoke English and French. The area around there didn’t feel welcoming to foreigners either. It felt like blatant discrimination.

We only stopped by to eat at the restaurant, but the experience was enough to put me off coming back. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, and there were far too few of them for the number of guests. They were rude, and there was little courtesy or professionalism. Waiting to order and then waiting for drinks took ages. For a place in this location, I expected much better service and respect for guests. I’d avoid it.

A lovely place to stay in a beautiful spot. I had the sirloin at the restaurant, and it was amazing. Highly recommend.

Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, though on Friday night there was just one waitress for quite a lot of guests. She was doing her best, but the wait was longer. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I still had a good experience. The hotel has a traditional German feel with a modern interior, and it was clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and free. My dog stayed at no extra charge, and there’s a small park across the road to take him to. Breakfast was simple, with the basics.
