The apartment was very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen, and the firm, comfortable bed worked well for my bad back. The polyester bedding isn’t to my taste, so I’ll bring my own sheets next time. There’s enough kitchen space for ordinary meals, though a five-course dinner might be a squeeze. The little terrace is cute and usable, but hanging laundry out there takes some maneuvering. Trimming the bushes might help. The apartment was nice, easy to reach, and surprisingly quiet despite the other units being occupied. I thought the price was excellent for what we got. Check-in went smoothly, and the property manager was very friendly. Because we booked at short notice, the extra equipment hadn’t been prepared, but that was quickly sorted out. I also appreciated the flexibility around my arrival time, which was uncertain because I was inspecting a biogas plant on the day. Ed. and Al. shops are about 5-10 minutes away, and there’s a café right next door that I recommend. I’d gladly stay here again when it’s available. We heard it can get noisy outside child-friendly hours, which is why I’ve taken off one star, but it was very quiet during our visit. I’ll be back.

It’s easy to get around from this cozy, nicely furnished apartment. You can walk to Edeka, Aldi and Börke bakery, and there are several places to eat nearby, including Dorfkrug and the little coffee shop. No need to drive to Burg for shopping. Bojendorf beach is easy to reach, as are Orth harbor, with its restaurants and good kitesurfing and surfing, and Lemkenhafen, known for its Aalkate. Back at the apartment, there’s a washing machine, dishwasher and a great bathroom, and the beds are very comfortable. A lovely place to enjoy a holiday and relax after time in the fresh air.
