The place is pet friendly and has a huge backyard, with plenty of easy parking. The location is beautiful and the space is very well prepared. The only issue was that showering in the bathtub in our bedroom, the one upstairs, was difficult.

The apartment is nicely located, with enough sights within a 30-minute drive to fill a week. The Hochschwarzwald card is a great benefit. We did miss a couple of details in the description: there's only a microwave, no oven, and the small fridge has no freezer. The bedroom itself is roomy and nice, as are the deck and bathroom. Space for four people is marginal, since the extra bed takes up most of the kitchen; it'd suit two better. I'd recommend it if you're two people, or a cozy family with one or two small kids.

Getting apartment No. 1 was easy, and shops and public transport were close enough to walk to. The apartment itself was a disaster, though. There was plenty of room, but nowhere to put clothes, no wardrobe or drawers, so we had to live out of our suitcases. The worst thing was the mold on the windows and walls in the sleeping area. It clearly hadn't just appeared. We had to cut our trip short because we couldn't find anywhere else to stay. There are plenty of other lovely holiday apartments in the Black Forest that cost less and are more comfortable, so look elsewhere.
