Landhotel Bohrerhof

The restaurant felt a little too traditional for us. We were there with small children and are used to very kid-friendly places in the Netherlands, so maybe we’re spoiled on that front. A small play area would be a nice addition and might let parents enjoy breakfast more peacefully. The rooms were spacious, the service excellent, and breakfast very good. We had a great stay.

There’s plenty of parking, and the friendly staff made the stay even nicer. WiFi worked really well, too. We especially liked the comfortable bathroom and its outstanding rainfall shower. The rooms were modern and spacious, and breakfast was very, very good. A wonderful experience.

We only stopped for one night on our way south from Frankfurt, but would gladly stay again. The market was wonderful, though I didn’t get enough time to explore it. Dinner and breakfast were both very good, and the bright, clean, comfortable place made for an easy stop. It’s a great setup for travelers who want to get off the motorway, arrive without hassle, and not worry about parking.

We had a July reservation and asked landhotelbohrerhof to move our dates after an unexpected conflict in the region caused widespread airspace closures. We weren’t seeking a refund, since we understood our booking was non-refundable. We just hoped for some goodwill given circumstances outside our control. They flat-out refused the date change. The booking terms meant our rights weren’t violated, but the lack of empathy and flexibility was still a real disappointment. Of the three places we had booked for the trip, landhotel bohrerhof was the only one that wouldn’t transfer our dates. It felt like a missed chance to show care during a global crisis. In hospitality, a little understanding matters when travel is disrupted by something guests can’t prevent. Future travelers may want to keep this policy in mind if their plans could be affected by unforeseen events.
