Hotel Bürkle

The breakfast was the most extensive I saw on my vacation. It seemed like they had everything. The lady of the house was very friendly and spoke excellent English. I was a little confused when she said she'd upgraded our room to one with a bathroom because she hadn't been there when we arrived. I wouldn't book a room without a bathroom, so I hope that was just a communication mix-up. We were told by email to use the key box since nobody would be there when we arrived, which was fine with us. The room was spacious enough, but very cold. After an eight-hour drive we were hungry, and there wasn't anywhere open within walking distance. It was a shame to have to drive again to get food. The house bar has some snacks and drinks, though they're priced at hotel rates. The interior is lovely, with so much to look at, and I enjoyed seeing books everywhere as a big reader myself. I'm not very tall, and the bathroom mirror was mounted too high for me.

The staff were the best part of our stay. They even went out of their way to find us a microwave when we didn't have one. Everyone was so nice, and the hotel itself is awesome, with lots to discover and antiques all over, including in the room. Our room was clean and nice. Downstairs there are snacks, beer, wine and water, and you can pay later. I'll definitely miss Hotel Burkle!

We stopped in for breakfast, or brunch, and really liked the atmosphere. The buffet had everything you'd want, with hot drinks included, and the prices were good.

The rooms were clean and nice, and it felt like home. The breakfast was perfect, the sauna was great, and the staff were really kind. One of the best hotels I've stayed in.
