After a long drive, the apartment was a great place to get a good night's sleep. It was spacious and clean, with a spectacular balcony view. The host was very friendly, and the place welcomes dogs too. We had drinks in the evening, and our dog was given a bowl of water.

We left earlier than planned but still had to pay for the whole stay. The owner later claimed here that I had booked the wrong apartment, which is dishonest. I booked an unnamed ground-floor apartment with a terrace, and protested loudly at check-in when they put us on the first floor, up many steps. She could see I walk with a stick. The receptionist refused to read the Booking.com confirmation, which clearly stated the ground-floor unit with a terrace, and put us in what they now call a Junior suite at a senior price. No apology at checkout. The confirmation also listed an oven, wireless internet, the entire unit on the ground floor, and wheelchair access. None of that was true. The apartment was upstairs and reachable only by many steps, with no terrace, just a tiny balcony and dirty wooden chairs. The kitchen was so small it was unusable, with no light above the sink, just one pan and no other supplies, a microwave instead of an oven, and no extractor hood. All the kitchen items were dirty and hadn't been washed. The shower head was blocked and I had to clean it myself, and there were no fresh towels for a week. The website showed a large restaurant menu, but in reality there was a small, one-page daily menu with only a few schnitzels, and even some of those couldn't be ordered. On our first night, my wife's meal came 15 minutes after mine. The response was, “Eat it while it's warm.” Parking is limited on-site in the evening, so arrive early. The internet was slow and unreliable, and of no use. There were a couple of positives: the bathroom was nice after I cleaned the shower head, and the view of Erlau was nice. The photo shows the upstairs apartment with its tiny balcony, not a ground-floor apartment with a terrace.

Breakfast was delicious, and everything else was great too. I had a double room for my travel companion and me, though it wasn't very close to much.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the view of the Danube river is awesome. The personnel are nice and friendly.
