Boutiquehotel Petuh am Hafen - adults only

We had a pleasant stay in this small hotel. The double room was quiet, comfortable, and well equipped, though it got a bit too warm and we couldn’t really adjust the temperature. Still, a nice place.

The room has really beautiful decor, but a couple of caramels were left for us and one had already been half eaten 😵‍💫. There’s no air conditioning, so you’ll probably need to open the window, even though the road outside is busy. Breakfast was disappointing, with limited choice and poor quality. The juice came from cartons, not fresh.

The location is spot on, close to town and its shops and restaurants 😉. The rooms are clean, tidy, and roomy, and the service from the professional staff is excellent. I’d recommend it and would definitely return 😁

Breakfast at Petuh is worth taking your time over. The food felt fresh and local, with quality taking priority over a huge selection. Staff were attentive, warm, and quietly capable. There’s also secure parking at the back if you’re travelling by motorcycle. We found plenty of places to eat in town without spending too much, including a Greek restaurant around the corner with generous portions. Just keep the hours in mind, since places tend to shut earlier than you might expect. The harbor is very close, easy to reach with a coffee in hand, but far enough away that we didn’t get the noise or buskers. Flensburg has cobbled streets, gabled houses, and a harbor with plenty of history, alongside newer shops and fast food that don’t always add much charm. The hotel itself has a relaxed mix of Danish design and German attention to detail. Our room felt carefully put together, with clean lines, muted colors, and wood that seemed to have a maritime touch. Petuh felt like more than a place to stop for the night on the way to Sweden. We found ourselves wanting to stay longer, have another drink, and take one more walk by the water. It has a character that made the trip feel less generic.
