A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "Das Waldhaus" is located in Forbach. This hotel is located in the city center. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel. My room had a balcony facing the river, and it was simple, bright, clean, and comfortable. The canal ran right beside it, next to a small bridge, and that steady sound of water was calming enough to help me sleep well each night. Hotel Das Waldhaus sits above Forbach with lovely views across the Murg valley. Forest trails are just minutes away, so it’s a great base for hikers and anyone who enjoys nature. Breakfast was fresh and filling, with rolls, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, and fruit. The staff were kind and shared useful tips. It isn’t luxurious, but it has plenty of authentic Black Forest character. A peaceful, refreshing stay.

The rooms were roomy and very clean, and the staff and owner were friendly. Breakfast was a nice start to the day, especially the good cappuccino. Great service and a perfect location. We’ll definitely return when we’re back in the region.

Our room looked out over the adjoining bridge, and the view was spectacular. We were lucky with the weather, which made the visit even better. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the bathroom was straightforward and as expected. We didn’t get to try the sauna, so can’t comment on it. The hosts were generous and so friendly, always happy to go out of their way for guests. Hot drinks were available whenever we wanted, and the fridge was always stocked if we fancied something stronger. Breakfast had such a wide choice that we could pick different things each morning. Dinner is offered on Saturdays and Mondays when the local restaurants are closed. You pre-order, then take a seat and the freshly made meal comes promptly to your table. They also provide a lunch pack for days spent walking or hiking around the area. We had a wonderful time at Das Waldhaus and I’d love to come back. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality!

We’d stay here again. The room and balcony were spotless, and the views from the balcony were stunning. The woman running the place was lovely, and we enjoyed a good dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was fresh and tasty. The beds were clean, but weren’t very comfortable.

We had a comfortable room overlooking the famous wooden bridge, and dinner made to order was a real plus. The breakfast had plenty of variety. A really nice hotel for anyone walking the Westweg, excellent all around 🙂
