Niederrader Hof

Breakfast was disappointing. They ran out of bread for toast, rolls, water and yoghurt. I paid €10 for the first morning, then cancelled for morning 2. The hotel is away from the city, so getting back takes a 20-25 minute tram ride or an hour on foot. Walking lets you explore the pleasant museum embankment, and there are shops and places to eat near the hotel. The rooms were a decent size, with clean bathrooms that looked more modern than those in some hotels. There was no air-conditioning, which was unfortunate in the temperature during my visit. The two windows opened only slightly, but luckily my room faced the car park, stayed relatively quiet, and didn’t get direct sun to heat up too much.

The beds were horrible, and the receptionist wasn’t very kind. My room had humidity on the bathroom ceiling, and I was woken by the sound of dripping water. Horrible hotel.

I was satisfied with my three-night stay and would come back if travelling alone. The hotel is pretty basic, and the rooms and bathroom are small, but that was fine for one person. My room was cleaned regularly, and the staff were responsive. Most of them also speak Russian. The location is very good, with convenient public transport to both the airport and the city centre. Shops, cafes, a pizzeria and düner kebab are nearby.

I needed a place between the city centre and the airport because I had little time in the city and an early flight. It’s in a neighborhood with easy access to a train station and lots of small restaurants and cafes. The room was clean, fairly quiet and had just the basics, nothing fancy. Staff were also available at the front desk 24/7.
