Pension Reichel

A separate fridge in the hallway is available for guests. The guesthouse itself is in a residential neighborhood and very quiet, despite being just a stone's throw from the train station. The lady serving breakfast was especially friendly and attentive. I had to take off a point for two reasons: the details in the room description, and the lack of a response to my request for early check-in. Check-in officially runs from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. I arrived with my suitcase at about 2:30, after asking through the booking platform for a 2 to 3 pm check-in, but got no reply. Calls to the Hanfy number went to voicemail, with no callback, and my follow-up chat message also went unanswered. There was a clear sign asking guests not to ring the family's private doorbell. I understood and appreciated their wish not to be disturbed by other guests, so I didn't ring it. But the station building was closed for renovation, which was outside the guesthouse's control, and the mobile DB service point in a container outside was shut both Saturday and Sunday, leaving no locker available. I ended up waiting outdoors for two hours in roughly 12-degree weather, hoping someone would open the door later. At about the scheduled check-in time, from 4:30 pm onward, someone spoke to me through the intercom, told me my room number, and opened the door. I never saw them in person.

The room was small and cozy, breakfast was good, and the staff were helpful and courteous.

The street was quiet, and there was always parking in front of the house. Inside the room, there was a table, comfortable enough seating, and a fridge; outside it, there was more seating. The room was clean, and having extra pillows in the closet was a real plus.
