The parking situation was frankly dangerous for us: the space was tiny and dark, and our standard-size car wouldn’t fit. The accommodation itself felt very average, more like a school camp. I booked through booking.com after checking the listed addresses on Google Maps, Bruderhalde 21 for check-in and Bruderhalde 21a for the property. But the actual place was Buhlhofweg 25, up a winding road, far from the lake. You can barely glimpse the water at the edge of one window, so it’s definitely not lakeside as advertised. This felt like a scam. I thought properties weren’t allowed to list a different address anymore. Boutique-hotel Alemannenhof seems to be behind this rort, and booking.com too. Do better.

The service came from Alemnnenhor Hotel, and the amenities included a heated pool, spa, sauna, restaurant, and breakfast food court. The apartment itself was beautiful, open and spacious, and very comfortable. What an experience!

The rooms are nice, and the hotel is in a peaceful spot. But there aren’t any shops close by, and it’s a long way from “civilization.” Arriving by taxi, as I did, left me feeling a bit stranded.

We had a small child with us, and the apartment had almost everything I needed. I only missed a small sharp knife. There were plenty of towels and bathrobes, and the place had a wonderful view and was absolutely quiet.
