Dorint Thermenhotel Freiburg

The food was exceptional, the staff were great, and the rooms were nice. It's a superb hotel with private access straight to the Thermal Baths. The room did get a bit hot, though, and there didn't seem to be a thermostat, so I had to open the window to sleep comfortably on a cool night. I'll be back soon. Love it!

The service was really good. The staff were friendly and helped me a lot, so don't be afraid to ask them. The location is great for walks in nature and right next to the Thermenhotel. There's no AC, so rooms on the upper floors or on hot days can get warm. Breakfast was really good and had everything you need. Some dishes are excellent, while others don't reach the same level. Dinner would be better if guests could choose, or if all the dishes were as good.

There isn't a wellness or spa area of its own, everything is through the public Therme. Our room wasn't clean, with bugs inside during all three nights, and the cleaning service was very superficial.

The thermal baths were a highlight, and the hotel had a varied buffet, excellent restaurant choices, and very friendly staff. The rooms were modern, clean, comfortable, and seemed renovated throughout. It's a peaceful place in the forest, a little far from downtown Freiburg, so a car or cab may be useful. I didn't see air conditioning, though fans are provided. I'm not sure what summer is like, and imagine the upper floors could get hot.
