Designhotel am Stadtgarten

The staff were friendly, and I appreciated that they brought separate shampoo and conditioner when I asked because the all-in-one product didn't suit my hair. The breakfast was good, and paying an extra €19 for parking was okay. There were some disappointments too. We stayed two nights and asked for the room to be cleaned, but it wasn't done properly. Some towels weren't clean, and the internet was so bad it barely worked. The room also didn't have basic items like a toothbrush or ladies' kit. I think that's unfortunately normal in Germany. All in all, an average stay.

Worst hotel stay. I was there with my family, and the AC didn't work while the windows wouldn't open. We spent the night feeling suffocated, and the hotel employees did nothing to help. There weren't any cups or coffee sachets in the room either. After asking them repeatedly, we finally got a cup, but still no coffee. Please don't stay here. The employees don't help you.

The rooms are very nice, but getting the convenient parking access card means someone has to go check in first. There's very little street parking around. Breakfast was poor enough that you'd be better off walking to the daily market. The room for it is too small, and staff seemed poorly trained at maintaining the buffet. I saw an employee drop clean silverware on the floor, pick it up and put it on the table for customers to use. The same breakfast room serves THREE large hotels at that intersection, so it should be at least three times bigger. Also, don't order cocktails at the bar. The bartender doesn't know how to make them properly.

The rooms are a good size, with cozy decor, comfortable beds and a great shower. It's a very good hotel in a brilliant spot, about a 10-minute walk from the center and attractions, and 20 minutes from the railway station. The room could have been cleaner, though. There was visible dust along the skirting boards.
