Minerva is wonderfully central, just a stone’s throw from the main station and the Altstadt. It’s a charming old-timey hotel, with physical keys instead of keycards, homemade marmalade at breakfast, and an elevator tucked into the stairwell hole with pretty stained glass walls. The people running it are so sweet and friendly, and the rooms feel spacious compared with those silly chain hotels. We loved staying here and will definitely come again. ❤️🌸

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was included in the price and quite good. The location was really convenient. There wasn’t parking available, so we had to pay an extra fee for it. The room was adequate for a 3-star hotel and a bit small, though that wasn’t a problem for just one night.

This little hotel has loads of character and feels special because it isn’t a chain. It’s cosy, and the location is great, close to both the city center and the main train station. Breakfast was amazing, easily the best part. I’d absolutely stay here again.

This charming bed and breakfast was my favorite stay of our whole trip. The location is fantastic. I was here with my kids, and we travelled in and out by train. Highly recommend!

If you arrive late, you have to dial at the gate, and someone will answer and guide you to collect the key from a vault outside. It doesn’t feel like a typical commercial hotel, and it’s most likely managed personally by the owner. The rooms are nice, the toilet is clean, and there are all the necessary amenities. The breakfast is very local rather than international, so it can be challenging for someone from outside Europe. The station is about an 8-minute walk away, and there are restaurants on the same street, including one owned by a Bangladeshi person. It’s a handy option if you’re craving Bangladeshi or Indian food.
