The service made our stay at the Munich Marriott Airport Hotel memorable. Nearly everyone we met was friendly and made an effort to welcome us. Roska in the breakfast area, from Croatia, was warm and attentive. Irving behind the bar, from Venezuela, was one of the friendliest, most personable bartenders we’ve met. Amofah, from Ghana, was always smiling and very efficient, and Veronika at the front desk, from Bavaria, was both professional and hospitable. They’re a credit to Marriott, and I hope their managers see this review. The hotel itself isn’t especially modern, but it and the rooms were clean and well maintained. There’s also a nice pool and spa. It’s in Freising, a charming historic town with good restaurants, though about a 15-20 minute drive from the airport. The shuttle costs extra, and at €15 or €30 depending on when you take it, it’s a bit pricey.

We stayed one night and made use of all the facilities. The restaurant was good too, and ordering dinner to have at the bar was no trouble. The underground parking worked well. As usual, a very good stay. Just ask if you need something, and you’ll get an answer that’s even better than you expected.

I was there for one night before flying from Munich Airport, and Florian at the Front Desk made a real difference. He was a trainee, but handled check-in thoroughly and professionally, stayed friendly, and helped with all my questions. He booked my shuttle for the next morning, told me about the fitness centre and food options, and even helped me get my boarding pass. I had to check in for my flight on the business centre computer, which was in German and had an unfamiliar keyboard. Florian worked through it with me so I had what I needed for the flight. His Front Desk colleague helped too, and I really appreciated their patience. You made a great hire in Florian. Thank you.

Freising is a charming town with great food and plenty of shops, and the location made getting to and from the airport easy. The rooms were spacious, above average for a European Marriott, with a full shower and separate washroom. There’s a nice gym with free weights and a modern treadmill, plus a great sauna. If you can, stay here instead of at the airport hotels next to MUC.

Our family room was big and comfortable, and the staff were nice. The hotel was clean, with a good breakfast and plenty of choice, including vegan options. It’s about a 15-20 minute taxi ride from the airport, in a beautiful area with lovely shops and gourmet places.
