Novotel München Airport

I stayed here the night before a flight and really liked it. The rooms were spacious, modern, clean and great. Staff were helpful and around throughout the night. There’s a snack shop with pizzas and cookers you can use yourself, handy during a layover or short stay. One thing to know: the shuttle bus that stops outside isn’t free. It cost about 2,20 euro when I wrote this, paid for at the hotel or airport. It runs frequently through the night, so no taxi needed. Thanks for a great stay!

After arriving on a late flight, we wanted somewhere close to the airport. Staff welcomed us warmly, and our room was very clean and beautifully designed, making for a comfortable stay. The lobby has a bar and food area where we had very good food and drinks. It closes around midnight. There’s no hotel shuttle, but it’s easy to get there from the terminal by taxi for about €15 or public transport for around €2. A great option for a convenient airport stay.

The 635 bus makes getting to the hotel and airport easy. It runs every 10 minutes, and the stop is right outside. Breakfast starts at 6am, which suited us, though it may be late if you have an early flight. There was lots of choice, including vegan options, and the coffee was excellent. Our room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and it stayed quiet despite being so close to the airport. I appreciated that staff checked at check-in that I was in a no-pet room because of my severe allergies. The separate bathroom setup was a little odd, with no sink in the WC, but not a big issue. I’d absolutely recommend it even for a short Munich airport layover. Last time I stayed at the nearby NH hotel, it was terrible. This was ten times better at the same price, and actually cheaper once you include the bus.

We were put up here for one night at the airline’s expense after missing a connection. The staff were polite and helpful, the room was nice, and the shower worked well. We didn’t have our bags, so the toiletries in the shower were much appreciated, although the shampoo seemed like ordinary soap. Breakfast was decent, but the hot food wasn’t as warm as we’d have liked and the scrambled eggs were slightly overcooked. A big plus was the well-equipped children’s area in the restaurant, which was very welcome. We were happy with the comfortable stay, especially since it was free.
