The balconies at Gasthof Rose look out over part of the lovely village of Boxtal, and the restaurant serves great food. There’s also some good Schnapps available at the counter. Mr. Swen and his family were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the people in the village were wonderful too. Spending time with everyone made my stay at Gasthof Rose a great experience. I enjoyed being in Boxtal and would definitely visit again. I’d recommend the hotel to others. Gopa

We found plenty of parking at this lovely little restaurant. The menu is small, but the choices are excellent, and our food came out very quickly, piping hot. We enjoyed everything and thought it was great value. The owner was so friendly. We’ll definitely come back.

The owner was really warm and friendly, and the atmosphere made dinner feel lovely. The food was incredibly tasty, with great value for the price. We’d happily return anytime 😊

On our Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, we found exactly the kind of welcoming stop we’d hoped for. The family who run the hotel were warm and hospitable, the rooms were thoughtfully furnished, clean, and cozy, and the food was absolutely delicious. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
