An authentic-style hotel, with basic but affordable rooms and German home-cooked food.

You can really feel the personal care that goes into running this quiet place. It’s a lovely spot to unwind, set among nature, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was fresh, varied, and clearly prepared with care. A great choice if you value peace and genuine hospitality.

The dining room is wonderful, and we felt very comfortable in this beautiful old half-timbered house. The antique everyday objects on display caught our attention, especially the rock slabs with fossils.

The generous breakfast was delicious, and I especially enjoyed chatting with the owner there. I was warmly welcomed when I arrived for one night with my bicycle. The guesthouse is easy to reach, in a very quiet spot right by the forest, and my room was freshly aired and spotless. Thanks again for helping me charge my phone.

The house is in a perfect spot for hiking, and our family had a lovely week at Landhaus Machold. We were greeted so warmly. The apartment had a lot of charm, though it may not suit very tall people. The floorboards creaked with every step, but we didn’t mind. We were delighted by the little Easter surprise too, and want to say thanks again.
