The room was on the third floor and there was no elevator, which really doesn’t feel acceptable by today’s standards. The walls are extremely thin, so sleeping well seems to depend on luck. A baby cried and probably woke the whole hotel. We found the bed awful. We went to bed in a queen bed and woke up with two single beds. The furniture is dated, and the bathroom feels ancient. This hotel doesn’t match the standards of other IHG hotels. It’s a budget option. The location is convenient if you arrive without a car, but otherwise parking is about a five-minute walk away. The evening receptionist was nice; the man in the morning was much less pleasant. Breakfast was average.

The lake is just a minute’s walk from the hotel. There’s a nice restaurant nearby, and the Italian ice cream is good.

Great spot for downtown and an early ferry ride. The room stayed really warm even though it was cool outside, and the street was loud at night. I had to choose between opening the window for the noise or closing it and staying warm.

The location made it easy to get to the lake, Christmas market, and city streets. Leonie at reception was incredibly friendly and helpful ;-). We also really enjoyed the breakfast, with plenty to choose from. It was a wonderful stay, and we’d love to return ;-).
