Skyhostel Friedrichshafen

The mattress was awful, and the room smelled strongly of chlorine cleaner. It was dirty and had all kinds of animal roommates, so definitely not for anyone afraid of spiders. The view could have been nice, but the windows were filthy. I wouldn’t recommend it even for one night unless you’re looking for survival training.

For one night, the price was absolutely fine. We had a clean enough 10-bed room on the 11th floor, with two very cramped toilets, two showers, and two sinks shared by the room on that floor. The location was super central.

At least there’s a roof over your head, and the view is worth seeing. The rooms smell like cigarettes, the beds feel more like sleeping mats set in bed frames, and parts of the place are due for renovation.

We were in the blue room, and it was filthy. There was hair in the bedding, the dishes had already been used, and the coffee maker didn't work. There wasn't even a stovetop to cook on. Each evening we spent an hour vacuuming big, thick spiders off the ceiling, walls, and curtains. The next morning we found two dead spiders in the bed with us. Absolutely disgusting. The location was the one good thing. For a stay longer than a weekend, I'd look elsewhere.
