Tjarkshof

We had such a lovely week here with our two children, aged 6 and 2. The big, beautiful garden and play barn gave them loads of room to play. Markus was happy to answer our questions and shared lots of ideas for things to do. When we arrived, he took time to explain everything to us, and he patiently fed the goats with the children. Thanks so much for making time for us. We’re already looking forward to coming back! ☺️

The kids had plenty to keep them busy, with a large playground on the farm and a play barn in front of the apartments. There are play options whatever the weather, and the children can play safely while the parents relax. The well-kept farm has goats, horses, and a dog, which all add to the lovely atmosphere. The rooms have a farmhouse-style decor, making this a beautiful, family-friendly place for a great vacation.

There’s so much to do nearby, with something for everyone. We spent six wonderful days at Tjarkshof as a family of five, with children aged 3, 5, and 8, and had a fantastic family holiday. The children and we adults loved our time on the farm, and Markus and his family made us feel right at home. We’re sad to be heading home, but would love to come back.

Markus’s tips for trips out were great for everyone in the family. We spent a week here and had a wonderful time. The lovely apartments, playground, and animals right outside made this a farm we’d happily recommend. There are play spaces both indoors and out, and they’ve thought of little things for children too, like bed rails. It’s a handy base for exploring the North Sea coast, then unwinding in the evenings.
