The location is fantastic if you have dogs, with trails leading straight into the forest for hours of walking. The lake is close too, and I can see it being especially nice in summer with children. We had a genuinely lovely week at the Tindy holiday home. The house was cozy and just like the pictures, and we got a warm welcome. It was spotless, with a modern kitchen, new toilet seats, new pans and baking trays, plenty of dishes, and a very handy second bathroom in one bedroom. I’m giving three stars because the extra costs left me feeling a little cheated. I strongly suggest checking the electricity and water charges with the owner beforehand. When we booked, the website listed electricity at €0.30 per kWh, but the final bill charged €0.40. The polite explanation was that the website provider hadn’t updated the rate in time after the electricity supplier raised prices shortly before we arrived. The holiday home’s website does look rather amateurish and not professionally designed. The difference came to about €50 for us, and we had such a nice holiday that we didn’t want to make a fuss, so we didn’t ask to see the electricity bill. Maybe the explanation is all true, but it still left an unpleasant aftertaste and reminded us to pay closer attention next time.
