The self-serve minibar downstairs is handy when you want a drink or a snack, with beers, soft drinks, nuts and crisps. There’s no dinner, though. Most rooms look out over the river and valley from a lovely balcony, and the shower and toilet were clean. The rooms have fresh interiors and really comfortable beds, plus free WiFi and a splendid breakfast buffet. It’s lovely to see the owners rebuilding this modest pension after the 2021 flood. For an affordable, clean, well-run stay in the Ahr valley, this is a great choice.

The friendly owners made breakfast feel especially welcoming, and it was genuinely great. There’s also a bar, plus pottery and homemade sweet preserves for sale. A good B&B option if you want to stay in this area, though breakfast is the only meal served.

The front rooms with balconies look out over the nearby river, a lovely spot to unwind after being on the road. We had a very pleasant overnight stay in a quiet, peaceful location, not too far from the nurumgring. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, and the room had everything needed for a comfortable visit. Breakfast was fresh and continental, served in a beautiful dining area. There aren’t many shops nearby, but the hotel has a small snack bar with sweets, crisps and chocolate. The host also sells homemade marmalade for €2.50, so we took a couple of pots home. We’d happily recommend staying here.

We had a great weekend, and the area was good for riding. The rooms were very clean, breakfast was good, and the people were super friendly. Free WiFi too. We’ll come back if we can.

We spent four nights here on a motorcycling trip. The location was superb, about 10 miles from nurburgring, and the views were stunning. We were made to feel very welcome, the accommodation was nice, and the food and beer were great. A very relaxing stay.
