An address I’ll definitely keep in mind. It’s just north west of Munich, 300m from the motorway’s end, but the surroundings are completely quiet and unspoiled, beside a little river or stream and an excellent Indian restaurant next door. The beds were firm and comfortable, the shower hot and powerful, and the WiFi worked excellently throughout the hotel and even in the restaurant. I was very impressed.

We found more bugs on the walls after my daughter woke up with over 6 crawling on her in bed. They looked like bed bugs, see photo. This was room 21 at Hotel Schleuse. We checked in Wednesday 18 July and left at 1.30am. The hotel said it was fully booked and couldn’t move us, but they didn’t charge us for the stay.

The location was nice and the staff were super friendly, though parking wasn’t ideal. I gave it four stars because there were no coffee machines in the rooms or microwaves, and those are essentials for me in a hotel room.

Really pretty setting, with lots of nature around, and the rooms were very nice too.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel was quiet and comfortable for my one-night stay. It’s a bit far from Munich centre, but one bus and the U6 will get you there in about 30 minutes.
