Schwabinger Wahrheit by Geisel

The rooms are spacious and work well for families or groups. I also liked the common spaces and outdoor area, which were nicely designed for getting some work done or finding a quiet spot to relax. I made good use of the exercise room, and the sauna was great for unwinding. The whole team was welcoming and professional, which really added to our stay. Breakfast was a highlight too, with tasty, healthy choices and plenty of variety. They have a very good vegan menu if you let the staff know, and they were accommodating. Vielen Dank für die tolle Gastfreundschaft – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Parking was a real bonus here, with plenty of room in the underground garage. The hotel sits in the heart of Munichs Schwabingen, close to public transport and about a 30-minute walk from Marienplatz. Restaurants and shops are all around. It’s a lovely small hotel, clean and modern, with a compact but nice sports and spa area that includes a sauna. The jacuzzi was closed for winter, though it looked nice. It was very kid-friendly too: a baby cot was ready when we arrived, along with two bags of children’s snacks, dried strawberries and pumpkin chips. That was a lovely surprise.

It’s a handy base for exploring Munich, with the nearest U-bahn about a five-minute walk away and lots of restaurants close by. We’d happily stay again. Our Team Room suited two adults and two kids well. The room and the rest of the hotel were very clean and quiet, and the beds were comfortable, though the pillows were very soft. The bathrooms in the Team Room are tight, so they might feel cramped if you’re larger. Breakfast was really good, with breads, cereal, meats and more. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The location made everything easy, with shops, places to eat and drink, and transport all close by. Everything was very clean, and the front desk service was excellent. The staff were especially helpful when we needed assistance in a foreign country. We had a great stay at Schwabinger Warheit!
