Europa Hotel Fürth

The room had no window, even though the listing showed one. Then the power went out less than five minutes after I got in. There was nobody at reception, and nobody picked up the phone. Since the door locks electronically, I didn't want to sit there waiting, so I booked somewhere else. Booking contacted the hotel, but they still refused a refund. I knew the ratings were low when I booked, but I never thought I wouldn't be able to use the room at all. Still no one from the hotel has contacted me. Avoid it!

We left without staying and asked Booking for a refund. The second room they eventually gave us hadn't been cleaned at all, with visible stains on the bed and carpet. Getting that room took repeated calls to customer service, and they hung up on us several times. The first room had no furniture and was full of building materials while construction was going on. A shock from the start.

Not a good choice for a family or a business trip. There usually isn't anyone at reception, and the rooms were really dirty, especially the bathroom. A lot of things were broken, including the shower and bed. If you only need somewhere for a night, keep all of that in mind. I wouldn't recommend it.

We got there at 7 pm and found the office shut, with no reception and no directions for checking in or even the opening hours. We called the number listed on Google, but nobody answered. Another couple there had booked too and couldn't get a key to their room. I understand that not every hotel has a 24-hour desk, but guests arriving after staff leave need some check-in information. If no one's there to let guests in, how is this supposed to work? They don't seem to care about their guests, so I can't recommend it.
