DORMERO Hotel Fürth

The location is what makes this place. The bed was clean, the view was fine, and having a kitchenette and a bit of extra space was nice, though the couch was dirty. The room felt tired and needed attention, including a broken toilet paper holder. It was the most boring place I've stayed, all white and gray with no art at all.

The room was spacious, with a partition door between the bedroom and living room that kept things quiet overnight. We used the sofa bed as well as the bedroom's double bed. The hotel is in a good spot beside a green park, with plenty of street parking. The garage entrance was the problem. The spaces themselves were average width, but the extremely narrow passage and square pillars along the ramp made it very hard to get through. The downward ramp is much narrower than the one going up. We had a standard station wagon just under 5m long, 360 sensors, and experience with old-town garages in Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart and NRW, but this was in a league of its own. We left with a 15x20 front bumper scratch, which was pretty heartbreaking. I'd suggest adding wall foam at the trickiest bend and warning guests about the difficult garage passage before they drive in, since they may not get a chance to hear about it from reception.

A good, moderately priced hotel with larger-than-average rooms and low noise levels. It's close to the town centre, so bars and restaurants are easy to reach. Breakfast was good too.

I stayed for a few days and found the room comfortable, with a microwave and a fridge with freezer. The hotel is near shops and two parks. One runs along the river Pegnitz and is great for jogging or cycling. It's also in the heart of October festival. Recommended!
