The bathroom had visible mildew, and the shower and tub didn’t feel hygienic. The reception and service also came across as unwelcoming. We’ve never posted a negative review before, but this stay really disappointed us. Checkout is between 8:00 and 10:00, much earlier than at most hotels, while check-in is still at 15:00. Paying €20 for late checkout only gets you until 12:30, which didn’t seem worth it. With other hotels nearby, I’d suggest looking at those instead.

The rest of the place seemed good, which made these issues a shame. There was no coffee or tea, the self-service machine wasn’t available, and the EV charger was out of order. The concierge suggested visiting Schwanstein Castle, but it was fully sold out after lunchtime that day, so it was bad advice.

A great base for visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. The location is convenient, parking was easy, and everything was very clean. Staff were friendly, the room was warm with good blinds, and the sauna was great.

10/10
The room was roomy, the bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. The shutters kept out all the light at night, so we slept perfectly. Breakfast had both cooked and cold choices for everyone. The receptionist was lovely and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and stayed that way throughout our time there, whatever the hour. I’d happily recommend this hotel for a quiet, relaxing stay in Bavaria.

We loved having this quiet hideaway at the edge of Füssen, set in a park. They let us bring our dogs, and the breakfast and staff were great. After a long hike through the hills, the sauna was just what we needed.
