My Hostel Fssen

The room was super clean, and staff were friendly enough to let me check in early. Great central spot. It was also the first time I'd finally found tea bags in a room in baviera.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and let us check in before the official time. We were given a different room from the one we'd booked, but accepted it as they'd done us the favor of an early check-in. Later the heating wasn't working right, so we called the property and they offered us another room where it worked. After that, everything was fine. The shared bathroom could have been cleaner, though that also depends on the other guests. We'd definitely come back.

The location is a real plus, but the worn furniture, door handles, and locks could use updating. The mattresses were especially uncomfortable, since putting a second one on top of an old, worn-out mattress doesn't help. There were stains on the walls and furniture too, which gave the impression that things weren't being cared for. It feels like the hostel depends on low prices and a convenient location more than quality. I hope the owners do some cosmetic renovation to improve the stay.

For the price, this was great. The room was a good size and clean, and the location was good too. Self check-in was simple, just match the name to the room number.
